Mrs. Harewood received a Master of Biomedical Sciences at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1997. She graduated from the Duke University Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Health Sciences in 2000. Mrs. Harewood is a member of the society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants. She has a special interest in skin cancer screening, adult and pediatric dermatology and dermatologic surgery.

Mrs. Harewood, a native of Franklin, Virginia, is married to Kevin Harewood and has two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
